Art Blogs come to Montreal
Howdy!
Back in July I wrote about a conference where Art Blogging was going to be a major component. Well it is now about time to start finalizing the details.
If you're free and available in between September 22nd & September 24th, you're cordially invited to come and take part, or just watch the proceedings (if you're shy). There will be three round table discussions, one each day.
Thursday, September 22 - Artist Blogs, 13.45 - 14.45. As part of the "Who Owns Your Body_Mind?" Tentative participants include (but are not limited to) No Practice, Utopia Moment and fluid thinking. If you're an artist and you blog, and would like to participate, please email me.
Friday, September 23 - Blogging as Art, 14.15 - 15.15. Somehow (but not too far of a stretch) part of the "Why is Activism Associated with the Street?" part of the conference. Tentative participants include (but are not limited to) Look, See: Chris Ashley, Blind Contourism, Quadrant Crossing, and The Hipless Boy. If you blog artistically, and would like to participate, please email me.
Saturday, September 24 - Art Blogs, 14.15 - 15.15. Part of "Who is allowed to communicate?" Tentative participants include (but are not limited to) edward_ winkleman, Artblog.net, and myself (both as moderator and participant - conflict of interest policies be darned!). If you're an you blog about art, and would like to participate, please email me.
And for those of you that will be in town, please don't forget the Benefit Fundraiser for Steve Kurtz that is happening on Thursday, September 22 at 19h.
