Claude Guinet plus the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke does not equal Thomas Krens plus the Guggenheim.

Over the holidays there was this article and then this article about how Mr. Guinet wanted to transform the town of Sherbrooke into something like Blibao.

I don't know if there was a museum in Bilbao before Mr. Krens came calling, but sure as shootin' if there was it was a far site more impressive than the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke. For comparison purposes the Fleming Museum in Burlington VT, where the governments do not support the arts has a collection that is more than five time the size than that of the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke.
