According to this advertisement, Daniel Enright, the bright light behind the Starving Arts Gallery in NDG, wants $40 from some poor sucker artist in order to exhibit that artists' work in a charity auction show at the Canvas Gallery in Lachine, where 20% of the money from each sale is earmarked for Entraide Benevole Metro.
Yes, raising money for Entraide Benevole Metro is a great and wonderful idea. Charging artists in order to do so is bad and wrong. I, personally would like to know how much Mike Vallée (the owner of Canvas Gallery) and Mr. Enright are earning at this event.
