Howdy!

Wicked Cool article in today's New York Times. According to Carol Vogel, the Metropolitan Museum's website gets 15 million visits per year. According to Carol Vogel, the Getty's website gets 10.5 million visits per year.

This here blog got 113,000 visits in the past 12 months. That means this here blog gets about 1% the traffic of the Met or the Getty. I'd say I'm pleased as freakin' punch! Makes me think I might get, oh say, 2% of what the National Gallery, the Musée des Beaux Arts de Montreal, the Musée d'art Contemporain, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, Royal Ontario Museum, and the Art Gallery of Ontario ...combined.

Then, down at the bottom, Ms. Vogel mentions how the Walker Art Center is planning on doing audio guides by cell phone. Sorry, Kathy Halbreich, Zeke's beat you to the punch.

[update April 5: I just found out that NPR's podcasts have been downloaded about 18 million times. Zeke's Gallery and NPR started podcasting at about the same time, and Zeke's Gallery's podcasts have been downloaded .11% (notice that decimal) as many times as NPR's. That's about the percentage I would expect when comparing Zeke's Gallery to some humongous cultural institution.]
