The Montreal Gazette wouldn't know news if it...

Howdy!

As something that I am beginning to call a very bad habit, I read the Gazette, on line, every morning. This morning, they had your typical re-write of a press release, about a green (ie "sustainable") building being opened at the Université de Montréal.

However, just five hours away, down in Boston on Sunday (early enough to have made deadline), some folks from Montreal, namely L'OEUF, Pearl, Poddubiuk Architectes, won a whopping $100,000 (US) for their Benny Farm project.

Which item do you think is more newsworthy? A Gold Prize at an international competition on sustainable architecture, or one of about a dozen new buildings being opened on a university campus in Montreal?
