Local artist makes it big in Cincinnati

Howdy!

As Muli Tang's web site requests that I don't borrow anything on his site, all I can suggest you do is go there to look at his work. Specifically his portrait of James Conlon who is director of the May Festival, which is the oldest continuous choral festival in the Western Hemisphere. Mr. Tang lives in Cote Saint Luc but has done a bunch of portraits of prominent people in Cincinnati according to this article in the Cincinnati Enquirer.

Chairman Dr. O. Owens of the University of Cincinnati
Dr. Donald Harrison, Senior Vice President and Provost of the University of Cincinnati
Chairman G. Strike of the University of Cincinnati
Dirk Jager, Chairman and CEO of the Procter & Gamble Company
Muhai Tang, guest-conductor of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

All because Mr. Tang had a solo show at Closson's gallery in 1988. Weird, eh?
