I don't know if you've read the interview with Dominique Blain, but she mentions in it, that a local newspaper columnist said, as her reason for writing about Ms. Blain's exhibition, that "We never write about art in newspapers."
Well, Jerome Delgado (and his editors) certainly proved that point. 450 words on three exhibitions.
D'ya think that if RAAV and the RCAAQ stopped being scared about the proposed changes to the Canada Council, and instead got off their duffs and got members to petition La Presse and the Gazette and Le Journal de Montreal to cover more art that they'd be able to evoke some change?
